We Need a New Van!
Reliable and available wheelchair transportation will
support our resident client needs to:
• Get to work
• Go to Doctors appointments
• Go to the Bank
• Get groceries
• Attend hockey games or the movies
Donations to our new van project would be greatly
appreciated
New Courtyard for Participation House Brantford

Brantford – Participation House Brantford’s residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a beautiful outdoor haven thanks to a $50,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) and the work of the Brant Branch Foresters. Dave Levac, MPP for Brant, joined OTF representative Vince Bucci in congratulating Participation House Brantford and the Brant Brach Foresters on this collaborative project.
“I am proud to announce today a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation that will go towards enhancing access to Participation House Brantford for people with disabilities,” said MPP Levac. “This grant is the right step forward in allowing people who live with disabilities in the riding of Brant enjoy Participation House Brantford’s inner courtyard.” more...

Through the Aging at Home Strategy, funded by
the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care;
Participation House Brantford and Community
Living Brant is able to provide respite services to
individuals with a physical and/or developmental
disability.
Participation House Brantford has two respite
rooms that are available 24 hours per day 7 days
per week for planned or emergency respite for
individuals who qualify.
Community Living Brant will provide respite for
four people one week per month to individuals

A new website has been created for students and other potential employees considering working with people with special needs. The website was originally developed by agencies in Niagara to attract young students to the many job opportunities within the Developmental Services Sector. The website has expanded to include the agencies within Brantford and Brant County that are recruiting specially trained staff.
